Mike and Amy Benkis are an award winning photography team based out of Omaha Nebraska.
Mike started in Wildlife photography back in 2014 and has had his wildlife work published by the Omaha World Herald, Nebraskaland Magazine, Omaha Audubon Society, and Nebraksa Games and Parks. He has always been passionate about wildlife, especially birds since he was young. This passion led him to join the Boy Scouts where he reached the rank of Eagle Scout. As an adult, Mike has volunteered for organizations such as Fontenelle Forest and the Omaha Audubon Society. His interests in Falconry eventually led him to photography. He and his wife Amy started to get into Portrait work in 2016, which turned into a shared passion for fine art and fashion photography.
Amy graduated from Metro Community College with a degree in Fine Arts in 2006. Her preferred art medium in college was Water Color and Acrylic paint. Her passion for art started as a child where she took art classes, and used to paint along with Bob Ross on the tv. Her fine art background gives her a creative eye when it comes to putting together a composition of an image and adding a fashion flair to portrait work.
A clean, bold, dramatic, artistic photographic style has become the hallmark of their work.
