Photography Workshops & Events

Small groups. Real-world photography. Individual attention.

Benkis Photography offers photography workshops, seasonal field sessions, editing and creative classes, and occasional short-notice opportunities throughout the year.

Our workshops are intentionally kept small so photographers can receive meaningful individual help while working in real photographic situations.

What to Expect

Small Groups

Group sizes are intentionally limited so participants have access to instruction rather than simply following a crowd through a location.

Practical Instruction

Workshops focus on making decisions in real situations: changing light, subject behavior, composition, camera technique, and adapting when conditions do not cooperate.

All About the Photograph

Technical skill matters, but the goal is to understand how camera choices, light, timing, and composition work together to create stronger photographs.

Pop-Up Photography Opportunities

Some of the best photographic opportunities cannot be scheduled months in advance. Wildlife movement, migration, unusual species, weather, and seasonal conditions can occasionally create opportunities with very little notice.

When an appropriate opportunity develops, we may announce a short-notice field session or pop-up workshop through our workshop community.
